Guwahati: The SBI Staff Association Thrift & Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Guwahati, marked its Golden Jubilee with a grand celebration at the GMC Auditorium Hall, Bhangagarh, on August 10, 2024. The cooperative, which has been serving its members since 1974, commemorated 50 years of its establishment.
“Sikaar” Set to Premiere in September 2024
The event was inaugurated by Mr. Pradip Kumar Baishya, Senior Vice President of AISBISF and General Secretary of SBISA NE Circle. The celebration saw the participation of several prominent personalities, including Mr. Bhupen Chandra Kalita, General Secretary of the SBI Pensioner’s Association NE Circle, Mr. Dibakar Chakraborty, President of SBISA NE Circle, and Mr. Shyamanta Konwar, Vice President of AISBISF, who all shared their insights on the cooperative movement in the Northeast.
Mr. Kumar Gaurab Borah, Secretary of the Cooperative, provided a brief history of the organization, highlighting its journey and contributions since 1974. The event concluded with a speech by Mr. Ratul Talukdar, Chairman of the Cooperative, who expressed gratitude to all members for their continued support and dedication over the past five decades.
