Rainfall and Snowfall Expected in Northeast India


The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued forecasts indicating the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall in several parts of Northeast India from Tuesday to Friday (Feb 20-23). Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also anticipated during this period. Furthermore, higher-altitude regions may experience some snowfall, as per IMD data.

Specifically, isolated pockets over Arunachal Pradesh are expected to witness light snowfall, while light to moderate rain is forecasted in many areas of Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, as well as isolated spots in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, are likely to experience rainfall.
