Among the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam, the Guwahati constituency has become the centre of attraction for all the parties, especially the opposition.
The names of Romen Chandra Borthakur, a senior spokesperson of the state Congress, and Mira Borthakur, president of the Mahila Congress, have surfaced as potential contenders. Analysis indicates that Romen Chandra Borthakur could be a suitable choice for the Guwahati Lok Sabha seat.
