Meghalaya Governor Brings All Faiths Together for Peace and Unity

Shillong: The Governor of Meghalaya, C.H. Vijayashankar, held a special meeting at Raj Bhavan in Shillong, asking leaders of all religions to come together for peace and unity. The meeting was attended by religious leaders from Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Khasi, and other faiths, along with Chief Minister Conrad Sangma (joining online), ministers, and officials.

They all strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam and supported the Indian Armed Forces for their strong response under Operation Sindoor. A two-minute silence was held to honour the martyred soldiers.

The Governor said people of all religions must stay united, respect each other, and support peace. He also assured that the government is taking all steps to keep law and order in the state.
