Guwahati: Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Guwahati-led Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE), OctaNE organized Investor Connect 3.0 on March 7, 2025, at Hotel Kiranshree Grand, Guwahati. The event aimed to connect startups from the OCP 5.0 cohort with potential investors for funding.
14 startups in IT healthcare, AI, and data analytics, which have moved beyond the ideation stage, pitched their business models to investors. Experts from IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, Assam Don Bosco University, Bionest-IIT Guwahati, and IIIT Guwahati, along with investors, participated in the event.
The program featured a panel discussion on “Unlocking the Investment Potential of Northeast India”, moderated by Pranjal Konwar, COO, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. Panelists included Rupam Nath (SIDBI Venture Capital Limited), Kumar Saurabh (T9L Qube), and Maneesh Srivastava (AlphaValue Consulting Pvt. Ltd.), who shared insights on investment strategies.
Additionally, two mentoring sessions were conducted:
- Dr. Muthu Dhandapani (Tricog Health, Bangalore) spoke on “Quality & Regulatory Compliance for Digital Health.”
- Dr. Suman Deb (NIT Agartala) led a session on “AI-Powered Design Thinking: From Ideation to Execution.”
The event concluded with enthusiastic pitch sessions, where 10 selected startups presented their business models, growth potential, and funding needs to investors and mentors. STPI Guwahati Director Vandana Srivastava highlighted the startup ecosystem’s rapid growth, with 47 startups onboarded this financial year due to simplified procedures and increased mentoring sessions.
