Guwahati: In recognition of the United Nations’ declaration of October 1st as the International Day of Older Persons, CONCLAVE FOR ELDERS 2023 has been organized by Santaneer in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, Guwahati. Assam Police is the knowledge partner, and the event is supported by the State Bank Of India and Topcem Cement. Santaneer is a not-for-profit initiative consisting of individuals from various fields working for the elderly.

CONCLAVE FOR ELDERS 2023 will take place at the NEDFI House Auditorium in Dispur from 10 AM to 3 PM on October 1, 2023.
The conclave will honor D.N Chakravarty (Senior Journalist), Dr. Aloka Goswami (Medical), Sri Pulak Banerjee (Culture), and Prof M.K Chaudhury (Education).
The event will feature a knowledge session and talks to empower the elderly on “Ageing Gracefully” by Prof MP Das of GMCH and “Wealth Management for Elderly” by Mr. Nabajyoti Bora, Wealth Management Expert from SBI. Smt. Sarmistha Barua and Sri Biraj Das of Assam Police will provide insights on safety, security, and emerging threats, especially cybercrimes, to enrich the knowledge of the elderly.
Additionally, the conclave will offer free services including basic health checks, dietary counseling, physiotherapy tips, lung function tests, screenings for osteoporosis, and a hobby corner.
This unique initiative, aimed at benefiting the elderly, is the first of its kind in the city.
