Atishi Marlena, Delhi Education Minister and prominent leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), commenced an extensive campaign in Assam on Monday ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Marlena’s agenda included a series of dynamic rallies and roadshows, strategically designed to garner support for AAP candidates throughout the state. Her journey began in Dibrugarh, where she rallied behind Manoj Dhanowar, AAP’s candidate for the Dibrugarh constituency.

On April 8th, Marlena led a spirited roadshow from Duliajan railway station to the chief administrative office of Oil India Limited, accompanied by Manoj Dhanowar and other AAP officials.

Additionally, Atishi is slated to participate in a vibrant bike rally in Margherita and another energetic roadshow in Tinsukia on April 9th. The AAP’s outreach initiatives will extend beyond Dibrugarh, with Marlena set to extend her support to Rishiraj Kaundinya, the AAP candidate in Sonitpur, on April 10th.

Expressing regret over the inability to form an opposition alliance in Assam, Marlena reiterated AAP’s determination to contest independently in two Lok Sabha seats. Despite this challenge, she remains upbeat about the party’s prospects, pointing to positive outcomes in previous local body polls in Guwahati.
