Assam down town University to Host 5th National Nursing Conference on Workforce Development

Guwahati: The Faculty of Nursing, Assam down town University is all set to host the 5th National Conference on June 27, 2025, with the theme “Workforce Development: Building Resilience and Retaining Talent in Today’s Health Care.” The conference aims to address key issues in healthcare staffing, resilience, and talent management.

The event will feature renowned speakers from across the country:

  • Ms. Sai Bala Madathil, Nursing Director, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, will speak on “Strategic workforce planning and skill development.”
  • Dr. Bornali Das, Senior Lecturer in Psychiatric Social Work, GMCH, Guwahati, will address “Talent resilience and well-being among healthcare professionals.”
  • Ms. Aniruddha Banerjee, Associate VP, HR & IR, Peerless Hospital, Kolkata, will discuss “Talent retention through engagement, recognition, and career pathways.”

The conference will bring together nursing faculty, administrators, and nursing officers from various institutions for knowledge-sharing and networking. Academic engagement will be further encouraged through poster and paper presentations.

Adding a touch of festivity, the students will organize a cultural programme celebrating India’s diverse cultural heritage.
