Guwahati : A tragic road mishap at Ganeshguri area of Guwahati claimed the life of a class 11 girl student. The incident occurred around 7.15 AM on June 8 near Ganeshmandir.
According to reports, a school student was injured after being struck by a moving school bus.. The girl, who was riding the scooty, suffered injuries, while her sister, the pillion rider, lost her life on the spot.
After the incident, the public criticized the administration for the lack of traffic arrangements in the morning and the absence of traffic police at the location, despite the decision to open schools during that time. They also raised concerns about the overspeeding of school buses.
Local witnesses have claimed that the school bus escaped from the scene after hitting the scooty.
According to CCTV footage girl student was injured after being struck by a moving school bus. The accident took place at a location where the administration had dug up the road for a project.
