Over 4000 Runners Join IIT-Guwahati Techniche’s Guwahati Half Marathon


Guwahati: Techniche, the annual Techno-Management fest of the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), organized the Guwahati Half Marathon on Sunday at the Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Stadium, Sarusajai. The event saw an impressive turnout of over 4000 enthusiastic runners from Guwahati city and beyond Assam, all rallying together to run for a cleaner tomorrow.

Educators’ Meet In Guwahati Draws Over 260 Participants

The Guwahati Half Marathon featured two main categories: the “Spirit Run,” spanning 6 kilometers, and the challenging “Glory Run,” covering 21 kilometers. With the theme “Run for a Cleaner Tomorrow,” the marathon highlighted environmental consciousness and community engagement.

Samyak Sharma, Convener of the Guwahati Half Marathon, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are thrilled to witness such massive participation in the Guwahati Half Marathon. It’s inspiring to see individuals from all walks of life coming together to promote fitness and environmental awareness. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors, volunteers, and the entire community.”
