Starting July, mobile users in India will see increased tariffs as major network providers hike their plans.
Reliance Jio announced new unlimited plans. Chairman Akash M Ambani emphasized the focus on 5G and AI investments. “Jio will continue to invest in India, putting the country and customers first,” he said.
Airtel stated that the Average Revenue per User (ARPU) needs to exceed INR 300 for a healthy business model. The revised tariffs, effective from July 3rd, will see a modest increase of less than 70 paise per day for entry-level plans.
Vodafone Idea also unveiled new plans for both postpaid and prepaid customers, effective from July 4th.
These changes aim to support substantial investments in network technology and spectrum.
