Jorabat: The Jorabat Outpost team intercepted a vehicle at around 7:30 a.m. today based on reliable intelligence that it was transporting suspected heroin.
Upon thorough search, officers discovered 19 soap cases containing a total of 262 grams of suspected heroin concealed within the vehicle’s body. The car was seized along with the illicit drugs.
The police detained one individual, Sulatan Ahmed Laskar, aged 45, from Uttar Mohanpur, Sonai, Cachar District, Assam. The vehicle used in the drug transport has also been seized.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to probe the source and distribution network of the seized narcotics
