Guwahati International Airport Launches 53rd National Safety Week

Guwahati: The Guwahati International Airport kicked off the 53rd National Safety Week with a six-day program at its new project site premises. The event commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony led by Chief Airport Officer Utpal Baruah.

Speaking at the event, Baruah emphasized the importance of National Safety Week in promoting safety awareness and preventing accidents and injuries in workplaces and communities. He highlighted the crucial role of employees engaged in construction activities and pledged to ensure their safety throughout the project.

Acknowledging the dedication and hard work of the airport employees, Baruah congratulated them for their commitment to safety.

Chief Project Officer Shri Jaiswal concluded the program by presenting a plaque of appreciation to the workers. The event was attended by several senior officials from Guwahati International Airport Limited (GIAL) and the project side.

The week-long agenda includes various awareness programs, drives, initiatives, mock drills, and campaigns aimed at enhancing safety awareness among workers involved in the construction activities.
