Guwahati: A team of esteemed doctors and healthcare professionals conducted a free medical camp at the Promod Talukdar Memorial Old Age Home in Guwahati on Saturday. Led by renowned professionals including Dr. Amal Chandra Kataki, Dr. Ardhendu Sen, Dr. Kaushik Jagannath Kataki, Dr. Kaushik Baruah, Dr. Aneesh Ganguly, and Dr. Abhijit Sharma, the camp aimed to provide medical consultations and assessments for elderly residents.

Organized by NGO Sampoorna, Mumbai, in collaboration with NGO Power and Wintrobe Hospital, Guwahati, the event focused on holistic health and lifestyle advice. Representatives from NGO Power, including Amal Ch Sharma and Harshita Bhagwati, joined hands to support the initiative.
The team, including nurses-in-training and interns from NERIM BA Social Work, provided invaluable assistance throughout the event. Dr. Amal Chandra Kataki stressed the importance of healthy habits in old age during the introductory address.
Elderly attendees received comprehensive medical assessments, consultations, and free medicines, highlighting the collaborative efforts of healthcare professionals and social workers in catering to the needs of the elderly population.
