Guwahati: Ananta Kalita, a distinguished economist, accomplished writer, and former Director of the Central Board of State Bank of India (SBI), breathed his last on Sunday morning at the age of 76 in Guwahati. He had been battling an incurable disease for some time and passed away at a private hospital in the city around 6:10 AM.
