Controversial Uncovered at Ghograpar Police Station in Nalbari: Investigation Underway

Nalbari: A serious incident has come to light at Ghograpar police station in Nalbari, involving allegations against a police officer for taking inappropriate photos of a girl. The girl filed a complaint at Nalbari police station, leading to the registration of a case (FIR number 287/23). Director General of Police, G P Singh, tweeted that if the allegations are true, strict legal action will be taken.

According to DGP G P Singh’s tweet, the complaint was lodged on June 26 regarding an incident that occurred on June 21 at Nalbari police station. The case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and a female additional superintendent of police has been assigned to the case. The Deputy Inspector General (CWR) has been tasked with investigating the matter and submitting an initial report. G P Singh emphasized that if the allegations are proven, strong legal measures will be taken.

Furthermore, it has been reported that the accused police officer is currently absconding. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
