Cachar: Acting on credible information, Cachar Police carried out a targeted operation on the previous day. During the operation, one individual was apprehended, and a substantial quantity of suspected heroin was confiscated from her residence.

The seized contraband weighed approximately 1.3 kg and is estimated to be worth ₹7 crore. It is believed that the heroin was unlawfully brought in from a neighboring state. Legal proceedings have been initiated in response to the incident.
