The karate players from Assam showcased exceptional talent at the 67th National School Games, securing one gold and five bronze medals. The event, which took place from January 5th to 11th, 2024, at the Bharatiya Vidyamandir Auditorium in Ludhiana, Punjab, witnessed spirited performances from Assam’s U-19 Boys and Girls karate players.

In a remarkable achievement, Tanisi Das clinched the gold medal in the girls’ 32kg category, adding a glittering feather to Assam’s cap. Additionally, Angkita Rajbongshi and Sweta Hazarika displayed their prowess by securing bronze medals in the 60kg and 52kg weight categories, respectively.
