Assam Rifles’ National Integration Tour Nurtures Unity: Tribal Children from Tripura Visit Meghalaya

Shillong: In a bid to promote national unity and offer insights into India’s rich heritage, 30 tribal children from Karbook, Amarpur, Gomti District, Tripura, participated in the Assam Rifles’ National Integration Tour (NIT) program. The initiative, organized by 18 Assam Rifles under the Assam Rifles Civic Action program, facilitated a visit to the Governor of Meghalaya, Shri Phagu Chauhan, at Raj Bhavan, Shillong.

The NIT program focuses on fostering a sense of unity among the youth while providing exposure to the diverse cultural heritage and developmental initiatives across the country. The meeting with the Hon’ble Governor aimed to inspire the young participants and instill a deeper understanding of national integration and shared heritage.
