Admitted to Apollo Hospital in Guwahati on December 9, Jayanta Das was under critical care and on ventilation. Assam Health Minister Keshab Mahanta assured government support for his treatment.
The actor leaves behind a legacy of memorable performances in films like ‘Bukur Majot Jole,’ ‘Jun Jole Kopalot,’ ‘Bhumiputra,’ and many more. His passing is mourned by fans and the film fraternity.
