TG Desk: A day after Assam Director General of Police (DGP), Gyanendra Pratap Singh, threw a challenge to the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I), the banned militant outfit responded. According to media reports ULFA-I accepted the challenge with conditions.

The outfit proposed that if DGP Singh can to roam freely in Guwahati for a week, he should use Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) or Indian Army (excluding youths of WeSEA region) instead of state police officers. The challenge comes after DGP Singh dared ULFA-I to target him directly if they have issues with him, not endangering public spaces.

Gyanendra Pratap Singh Friday said that if ULFA-I has problems only with him, they can target him instead of throwing grenades in public places. “My office is at Guwahati’s Ulubari and I stay at Kahilipara, I am there, they can target me directly, I’m not afraid of them,” he said.
