Assam down town University and IBM Join Forces to Empower Students with Advanced IT Skills

Guwahati: Assam down town University (AdtU) and IBM (NYSE: IBM) have embarked on a groundbreaking collaboration to equip students with cutting-edge IT skills essential for thriving in today’s job market. This collaboration, announced during a grand launch event, aims to prepare students in areas such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data science, and predictive analytics.

Dr. Prabhat Manocha, Account Technical Leader at IBM India/South Asia, and Shefaly Dutta, Academic Partnership Leader East India and Extended countries, IBM, graced the event at Assam down town University.

Aligned with AdtU’s curriculum and anticipated industry demand, the collaboration will offer joint specialized programs, a dedicated computer lab equipped with IBM software, industry-aligned curriculum, and expert-led instruction by IBM professionals. These initiatives aim to cultivate a skilled future workforce capable of meeting industry needs.

“We are excited to announce our partnership with IBM, introducing new programs in B.Tech CSE (Data Science & Deep Learning), BCA, and MCA (Data Science & AI), BBA (Data Analytics). This collaboration offers students a unique opportunity to acquire cutting-edge skills in collaboration with industry leaders,” says Dr. Utpal Barman, Dean, Faculty of Computer Technology.

Dr. N.C Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of Assam down town University, emphasizes the significance of this collaboration, stating, “By partnering with IBM, we are ensuring our graduates possess the critical skills needed to excel in today’s dynamic IT landscape.”
