During a recent campaign event in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took a critical stance on Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s unfamiliarity with Assam’s iconic tea gardens. Sarma’s remarks came as Mann, also the Aam Aadmi Party leader, visited Assam for campaigning, highlighting his lack of exposure to tea cultivation, a stark contrast to the paddy fields prevalent in Punjab. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma extended an invitation to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
While continuing his election campaign for the BJP candidate, Sarma was spotted showcasing his dancing skills during an event in Lakhimpur constituency.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Assam, comprising 14 seats, will be conducted in three phases. The first phase, slated for April 19th, will witness polling in Autonomous District, Tezpur, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, and Lakhimpur constituencies. Subsequently, on April 26th, Karimganj, Silchar, Mangaldoi, Nagaon, and Kaliabor will go to polls, followed by Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Barpeta, and Guwahati on May 7th.
