Guwahati: Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU), School of Technology, celebrated Udayamotsav 2025 on National Startups Day. This special event was organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE to support and showcase the best startups from India’s academic institutions and incubation centers.
ADBU was among 13 selected institutions across India to host this prestigious event. The program aimed to help young entrepreneurs connect with investors, secure funding, and build strong partnerships.
The event began at 9:30 AM with a grand inauguration attended by AICTE officials like Saurav Nirmale, Hirak Jyoti Das, and Pyali Chakraborty. Several investors and mentors, including Vishnoo Prathap from HILD Defence and Aerospace, Biswajit Hazarika from Trans Virtual Pvt Ltd, and Nickson Sharma from NEDFi Venture Capital Limited (NVCL), joined the event to guide the startups.
Dr. Bobby Sharma, Head of the Department of CSE and event coordinator, shared that the event was organized to encourage students to innovate and start their businesses. Fr. Joseph Nelanatt, Pro Vice-Chancellor of ADBU, and Prof. Manoranjan Kalita, Director of the School of Technology, said the university is committed to supporting startups and innovation.
A total of 34 startups participated in Udayamotsav 2025. They presented their ideas in areas like healthcare, sustainability, education, and technology. Notable innovations included Reverate, a water pump that works without electricity, Medicapp, a blockchain-enabled healthcare platform, and an IoT-based anti-tremor band to help people with neurological conditions. Startups like NextBull, HomeEase, and Travysys also showcased innovative solutions with long-term impact.
The event had live pitch sessions where startups presented their ideas to a panel of seven investors. Afterward, startups received one-on-one mentorship to improve their projects.
Udayamotsav 2025 proved the strength of India’s startup ecosystem and showed how young entrepreneurs are solving global problems with innovative ideas.
