Guwahati: The Assam Cricket Association (ACA) is set to commence the Girls Under-15 Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2024, starting on July 20 and July 23 across various venues in the state. This tournament, aimed at promoting women’s cricket in Assam, provides a platform for young female cricketers to showcase their talent.

The competition features teams divided into four groups:
- Group A: Silchar, Guwahati, Naharkatia, Charaideo, Nazira, Kaliabor, and Bokakhat. Matches will be held in Guwahati from July 20.
- Group B: Goalpara, Karbi Anglong, Karimganj, Nalbari, Bongaigaon, and Bilasipara. Matches will take place in Diphu from July 23.
- Group C: Golaghat, Lakhimpur, Tinsukia, Mangaldai, Nowgong, Sivasagar, and Hailakandi. Matches will be played in Golaghat from July 20.
- Group D: Morigaon, Jorhat, Kokrajhar, Tezpur, Rangia, and Hojai. Matches will be held in Hojai from July 23.
The semifinals are scheduled for August 2, with the final match set for August 4. Venues for the semifinals and final will be announced soon. This tournament promises to be a significant step in nurturing the next generation of women cricketers in Assam.
