ABVP Demands Justice for Women Tortured in Sandeshkhali

Guwahati: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has vehemently condemned the appalling incidents of sexual exploitation of women in Sandeshkhali, North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. ABVP organized a protest march in Guwahati, demanding justice for the victims and holding the state government accountable for sheltering criminals responsible for these atrocities.

During the protest march from Guwahati Club to Digali Pukhari, ABVP student leaders expressed deep concern over the shameful incidents in Sandeshkhali. They highlighted that this is very unfortunate when the state is under a female Chief Minister.

A memorandum has been submitted by ABVP Guwahati city to the President through the District Collector highlighting the major issues. ABVP Guwahati city has demanded a proper investigation into the incident that has shamed human society and has asked for justice for the victims. The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, has strongly condemned the horrific incident prevailing in her state.In this protest, the State Joint Organising Secretary of ABVP, Simant Kr. Baishya, SWC member Pampi Kalita, Guwahati Mahanagar Secretary Swapnanil Haloi, Mahanagar Joint Secretary Anchit Goswami, and Handique College President Jyotishmita Deka, Trishna Deka, Salma Sultana actively participated.
