Golaghat: Cairn Oil & Gas, in partnership with the District Social Welfare (DSW) department, celebrated National Girl Child Day with an awareness session at Borpathar Higher Secondary School. The event, attended by 500 students and 18 staff members, emphasized empowering young girls and promoting their education and well-being.
Aligned with the 2025 theme, “Empowering Girls for a Bright Future,” DSW representative Monjolika Gogoi stressed the importance of girls’ education in creating a progressive society. The session also introduced the Assam Government’s Child Marriage Prohibition Drive, encouraging community efforts to ensure a safer environment for girls.
