Guwahati– To mark its 90th anniversary, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launched the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide quiz competition for undergraduate students. The Assam State-level round was held at Hotel Kiranshree Grand in Guwahati, featuring 180 students from 90 college teams who advanced from the online phase held in September.
The top spot was claimed by Gauhati Medical College and Hospital’s team, comprising Sayan Mazumdar and Bishwayan Bhattacharjee. They were followed by NIT Silchar’s team of Kishan Mittal and Ayush Maurya as first runner-up, and Assam Engineering College’s team of Arijit Basishtha and Disha Baishya as second runner-up. The winning teams received prizes of ₹2 lakh, ₹1.5 lakh, and ₹1 lakh, respectively.
Gauhati Medical College and Hospital will now represent Assam in the Zonal round, scheduled for November 29, 2024, in Guwahati. The national final will be held in Mumbai in December.
