Guwahati: Assam down town University successfully hosted its 11th Convocation Ceremony at its grand amphitheatre in Panikhaiti, Guwahati. The event was presided over by Assam’s Governor, Lakshman Prasad Acharya, with Cabinet Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah as the Guest of Honour.
During the ceremony, degrees were awarded to PhD, Post Graduate, and Under Graduate students. Gold Medals were presented to the Best Post Graduate and Under Graduate students for their exceptional academic achievements. Graduates took an Oath of Dedication, emphasizing their professional responsibilities.
In a special moment, KIIT Founder, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, received an honorary D.Litt. for his impactful work in education and social welfare.
The event concluded with the signing of the Convocation Book and the National Anthem, celebrating the success of the graduating class and the university’s commitment to learning and innovation.
