Guwahati: The Dispur Press Club held its annual award ceremony for the year 2023 on August 26 at the auditorium of the training centre of the state public works department. The event was graced by eminent personalities and dignitaries.

The awards were presented to recipients from various categories, including journalism and other fields. Notable awardees include Sanjeev Kumar Phukan, Executive Editor of Dainik Janambhumi, Bhaben Dutta of Asomiya Pratidin Paper, DY 365’s Hemant Sharma, Sunil Bora of News Live, Samarendra Sharma for Photo Journalism Award from the Assam Tribune, Abani Bezbaruah of Pratidin Time for Video Journalism Award, Sushma Ranjan Ghosh for Sports Journalism Award, Pubali Sharma of NB Live for News Anchor Award, and more.
The event saw the presentation of awards in a solemn ceremony, attended by distinguished personalities including literary figure Bandita Phukan, prominent journalist Pranay Bardoloi, senior journalist Baikuntha Goswami, and Dispur Press Club President Naren Hazarika, among others.
