Guwahati: Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) has organized a special campaign to promote safety awareness by addressing the issue of Foreign Object Debris (FOD), as stated by an official on Wednesday.
The initiative aimed to educate individuals about the risks associated with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) during aircraft operations. Trained personnel meticulously inspected the airport premises, including runways and aprons, to identify and remove any stray objects.
Airport staff, airlines personnel, and other authorities actively participated in the walkthrough. All passengers and airport staff are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any found objects to the concerned department. The walkthrough took place in the Airside Apron area.
