Bongaigaon: Srijangram regional committee of AASU (All Assam Students’ Union) and the socio-cultural organization Young Srijangram felicitated six prominent personalities from the region.
The workers of these organizations bestowed honors upon writer Pulin Bihari Ray, writer Sarmaram Das, farmer Sachin Ray, social worker Sudhon Mudoi, actor and retired artiste Bhuban Rajbongshi, and the head priest of Raghunath Bigrah Mandir Satra, Jyotish Adhikary. The honorees were presented with Gamochas (traditional Assamese scarves), saplings, books, and citations.
During the event, the organizations also took the opportunity to interact with senior citizens, expressing their concern for their well-being and checking on their health.
