Guwahati: Details of road accidents in Assam will be swiftly available on the Vahan portal. A specialized training program was conducted today involving various departments responsible for road safety. The training focused on instructing officials on how to promptly upload accident details on the portal. Representatives from police, transport, health, engineering, and insurance companies attended the training at the Public Works Department meeting hall in Dispur Lastgate, Guwahati.

During the program, Assistant Transport Commissioner Gautam Das highlighted the initiative’s goal of making Assam an accident-free state. District Development Commissioner Parijat Bhuyan and ACP Traffic Dr. Anup Jyoti Bora, also present, provided insights into precautions necessary for achieving this objective. The move aims to enhance coordination among departments for efficient and immediate response to road accidents.
