Guwahati: The highly anticipated Assamese film ‘The Slam Book’ premiered at Anuradha Theatre on June 28. The movie is scheduled to release in all theaters across Assam on June 30. Notably, NK Productions, a prominent production house established in 1983, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
Produced by Debo Borkotoky and directed by Pranjal Gayari, ‘The Slam Book’ features a screenplay and dialogues by Bishnu Jyoti Handique. The film was shot using red epic and red MA cameras, with Gyan Gautam serving as the cinematographer. Saptarishi Gautam worked as the chief assistant director, while Deepak Dey and Uday Shankar handled the choreography.
The cast of ‘The Slam Book’ includes Nirupam Saikia, Bibhuti Bhushan Hazarika, Rupam Barua, Shreshtha Chowdhury, Poonam Lahkar, Siddartha Mukherjee, Kakoli Handique, Priyanka Barua, Raj Dutta, Chinmoy Borgohain, and several other talented young actors.
The film’s music, composed by Zubeen Garg, Diganta Bharati, Shasank Sameer, and Rahul Gautam Sharma, features vocals by Zubeen Garg, Rohit Sonar, Praveen Bora, Arundhati Bhanupriya, and Manas Barai. The four songs of the film have already garnered a significant response from the audience.
