Rangia: The SSB Frontier Guwahati Sports Meet 2024, organized by Sector Headquarters and the 24th Battalion SSB Rangia, began Thurseday at the 24th Battalion campus in Rangia. Sudhir Verma, Inspector General, SSB Frontier Guwahati, inaugurated the event.
A total of 155 players, including male and female personnel from all SSB battalions under Frontier Guwahati, are participating in the meet. Competitions will include volleyball, badminton, table tennis, athletics, and various endurance events.
The initiative, led by IG Sudhir Verma, aims to boost physical fitness and foster team spirit among SSB personnel. Senior officers, including B.S. Jaswal (DIG), Rajeev Rana (DIG), and Deepak Singh (Commandant), attended the grand opening ceremony.
The sports meet will conclude on December 14, celebrating camaraderie and the athletic prowess of the Force personnel.
