Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi suspended from Assam Assembly

Independent MLA Akhil Gogoi was Suspended from Assam Legislative Assembly during the question hour on 14th September 2022. Gogoi was taken out of the House by two marshals. He was suspended for disrupting proceedings.Speaker Biswajit Daimary suspended him when Akhil Gogoi stood up and raised a question. It was the turn of the other MLA to raise a question.

‘It was question hour and there was a time limit.’ Said speaker Daimary. He also said that there was no time to debate. After several requests, when Akhil Gogoi did not stop talking, Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi was suspended from question hour.
