The 2024 edition of the national talent search for India’s next fast-bowling stars has launched, jointly organized by Red Bull and Rajasthan Royals. This program provides aspiring bowlers the opportunity to showcase their skills at regional and national levels, training under elite coaches and Rajasthan Royals’ players.
Established in 2020, the talent hunt was designed to give amateur bowlers a platform to display their raw skills. It has since become a renowned grassroots program for discovering India’s best young pace talent. Among its success stories is Naman Tiwari, who progressed through the program to represent India at the 2024 ICC U19 World Cup.
Young bowlers like Mohammad Sharim from Lucknow and Pratik Kumar from Ranchi, selected in the 2020 edition, credit the program with transforming their careers. Both trained for three months at the Rajasthan Royals High Performance Center, bowling in the nets to IPL stars such as Sanju Samson, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, and Liam Livingstone. Sharim described the experience as a “game-changer,” learning critical values like focus and discipline. Pratik Kumar echoed this sentiment, calling it a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
This year’s program continues to provide emerging talents with expert guidance and a pathway to fast-track their potential.
