Guwahati: In a captivating wildlife discovery, a rare golden tiger was recently spotted at the Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the news, expressing awe at the majestic beauty of the unique creature.

The rare golden tiger, with its distinctive golden coat, was captured on camera by wildlife photographer Gaurav Ramnarayanan from Coimbatore during a safari in Kaziranga National Park. The discovery has stirred excitement among wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists, highlighting the rich biodiversity of the region.

‘It is Day 2 today on a private tour in Kaziranga. While weren’t very focussed on Tigers and were looking more for Birds and Rhinos, we came around a corner and about 800 meters away, something white came onto the road. Pretty sure it was a Tiger, I looked through my lens and was in for a bigger surprise. It was the Golden Tiger.’, he posted at social media.
