Guwahati : The Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has launched an internal inquiry into the passing of distinguished educationist Deven Dutta.
Concerns of potential inefficiency and negligence have prompted this inquiry. Officials suspect that Deven Dutta’s passing might be linked to inadequate care.

Now, three experienced doctors, Dr. Ajanta Sharma, Dr. Usha Sharma, and Dr. Ujjal Kumar Sharma, will check what actually happened .
Deven Dutta, passed away on August 18 at GMCH. He was 81 years old. Having served as a former professor and vice principal of Cotton College, he was highly respected in the educational community. Sadly, he was battling heart disease. He had been receiving treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital from August 11.
