Sivsagar: In response to recent reports about relocating ONGC’s Regional Geosciences Lab (RGL) from Sivsagar, ONGC confirmed in a press statement that there are no such plans. The company emphasized its continued commitment to Assam, highlighting the construction of a new state-of-the-art RGL in Jorhat to meet regional operational needs and enhance learning and research opportunities.
The Sivsagar RGL has also been renovated to improve working conditions. ONGC reassured the public of its dedication to Assam’s economic and social development, focusing on community welfare through its extensive CSR initiatives. The company stressed that internal adjustments aim to enhance efficiency without undermining local interests.
