Baihata Chariali : One person lost their life after being swept away by floodwaters. Incident took place at Kamalpur area of Baihata Chariali in Kamrup district on June 21. The victim is from Dagaon village no. 2 in Kamalpur, went missing during the night when the floodwaters of the Kalajal river washed away. Following a search and rescue operation conducted by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local residents, was found a lifeless in the morning. The unfortunate incident occurred while he was returning home from his place of duty. The recovery of Ramesh Deka’s body has cast a pall of sorrow over the entire area.
