Guwahati: The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) in Guwahati is holding a two-day national programme to talk about India’s traditional knowledge in food, drinks, and medicine. The event is called IndiGenSymp-2025 and is being held on 8 and 9 May.
The goal of the programme is to study and use old traditional methods in a scientific and modern way so that they can help people today.
IASST Director Prof. Ashis Kr. Mukherjee opened the event. He said that using India’s traditional knowledge can help develop new ideas in food, health, and science. This will also support the Government’s dream of a developed India by 2047.
Top scientists like Prof. Pulak Mukherjee, Dr. K. Suresh Babu, and Prof. Sanjay Jachak are taking part and sharing their ideas. Many students, teachers, and researchers are also attending.
