Big Fight Between Assam TMC Leaders

Guwahati: There is a big fight going on inside the Assam Trinamool Congress (TMC) party. State president Romen Chandra Borthakur and senior vice president Dulu Ahmed are blaming each other.

Romen Borthakur went to Dispur Police Station on May 7 and gave a complaint against Dulu Ahmed. He said Dulu sent him bad and threatening messages on WhatsApp. He also said that Dulu’s friend Sanjib Mahanta sent him a message with a warning, which he feels is a threat to his life.

After this, Dulu Ahmed said Romen Borthakur is still working with the Congress party. He said Borthakur met Congress leader Harish Rawat recently. “Because of this, many TMC workers are angry,” Dulu said.

He also said Romen has done wrong things with party money. He said during the recent panchayat elections, the party funds were not given properly and were used badly. “There is a big money problem in the party because of him,” Dulu added.

Police at Dispur station said they got the complaint but are still checking the matter. They will take action after they see all the proof.

This fight has made party workers worried and has shown that the Assam TMC is not united now.
