Guwahati: The Association of Indian Journalists organized the “Journalist Festival of India-2024” at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra on Sunday. The event, held at the Dr. Banikanta Kakati Auditorium, saw the participation of around 500 journalists from Assam and across the country.
Notable attendees included National President of the Association of Indian Journalists Vikram Sen, Working President Kiran Kumar Gogoi, and senior Assam journalists Adip Kumar Phukan and Naba Thakuria. Special guests included Guru Karpatri Maharaj of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Senior Advocate Arihant Nahar, and Director of Shivanshu Multispecialty Hospital, Vadodara.
During the event, 20 journalists from various news organizations received special awards. Additionally, around 300 journalists from different parts of Assam were specially felicitated by the association.
