Guwahati: Sampoorna Deepjyoti India Foundation held a free health check-up camp on November 23, 2024, at Pramod Memorial Old Age Home in Beltola. The camp focused on skin-related problems and mental health support for elderly women.
Dr. Aslam Ali, a well-known dermatologist from Guwahati, led the medical camp. He examined the participants for skin allergies and other common issues and prescribed treatments. The team also distributed free medicines on the spot. Dr. Ali assured the participants that any unavailable medicines would be provided soon.
The camp also included a psychological counseling session led by Ms. Pankhi Rani Borah, an experienced counselor. She used a client-centered approach to encourage open discussions and provide emotional support. The session aimed to raise mental health awareness and help participants feel valued.
Ms. Amrita Borkotoky, Program Director of the Foundation, guided the event with her leadership and vision. Her team worked hard to ensure the camp’s success, bringing smiles to many faces.
