Guwahati: At a press conference held at the party’s headquarters, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary and Spokesperson, Pabitra Margherita, reiterated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment to safeguarding the identity, land, and base (Jati, Mati, Bheti) of Assamese and Indian society.

Margherita highlighted the success of the Basundhara scheme, emphasizing the digitization of land records and its role in resolving numerous land-related issues. With Mission Basundhara 2.0 underway, the distribution of land pattas to over 2 lakh applicants, primarily from SC, ST, and Other Backward Classes, is set to commence this month.

Responding to queries about the Opposition, Margherita criticized the INDI alliance, terming it unprincipled. He pointed out the alliance’s association with parties lacking credibility and rejected their relevance in Assam’s political landscape.

Regarding party membership, Margherita stated that the BJP’s doors are open to individuals aligned with its ideology and vision.
