Shillong : As part of the Assam Rifles’ National Integration Tour (NIT), 24 girls from Mon district, Nagaland, visited Shillong to meet with the Hon’ble Governor of Meghalaya, Shri Phagu Chauhan, at Raj Bhavan.
The NIT program aims to foster national unity among youth by providing insights into the rich heritage of the country, developmental initiatives, and industry projects. During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the significance of national integration, encouraging the young participants to play a vital role in building a strong and united India. He also motivated them to pursue their dreams and make the most of educational opportunities.
The NIT team’s visit to Shillong included immersing themselves in Meghalaya’s cultural and heritage experiences while gaining insights into various developmental and industry initiatives in the state. The program aligns with the objective of promoting unity and understanding among diverse communities in India.
