Guwahati: Assam Don Bosco University organized an awareness workshop on NAD/DigiLocker and the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) at its Azara campus on Tuesday to promote digital learning systems in higher education.
The programme was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. It aimed to help students, teachers, and academic staff understand how digital platforms can be used for storing academic records and managing credits.
Around 80 participants attended the workshop, including 61 students and 19 faculty and staff members. The sessions focused on the use of DigiLocker for safe and easy access to documents, and the Academic Bank of Credits, which allows students to store and transfer academic credits under the National Education Policy.
The sessions were conducted by government resource persons Ravi Pandey and Zakierheicha, who explained the registration process, benefits, and practical use of these platforms. They also highlighted how these systems can make academic processes more transparent and efficient.
Senior university officials, including the Vice Chancellor and other top administrators, were present at the event. They stressed the need to adopt digital tools to match national education goals and to provide more flexible learning options for students.
Participants took part in interactive discussions and asked questions about DigiLocker use, ABC ID creation, and credit transfer systems.
The workshop ended with a vote of thanks by coordinator Dr. Vijay Prasad. The university said such initiatives will help improve digital readiness and make education more student-friendly.
