Guwahati: A two-day Chief Engineers’ Works Conference of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) for the Eastern Region was held in Guwahati on April 28 and 29.

The meeting was chaired by Jitendra Prasad, Additional Director General Border Roads (East), and was attended by all seven Chief Engineers of BRO projects in the region, along with the Commandant of the Engineer Base Workshop.

The main aim of the conference was to plan the roadmap for the current financial year and prepare strategies to meet project targets. Officials discussed ways to improve work efficiency, better use resources, and complete infrastructure projects on time.

Special focus was given to speeding up ongoing works while maintaining high quality standards. Officials also talked about adopting better methods to improve execution and delivery of projects.

During the meeting, the chairperson stressed that quality infrastructure is important not only for operational needs but also to maintain public trust.

The conference ended with a clear plan to speed up important road projects in the region. Officials said the discussions will help improve work progress and strengthen BRO’s role in building strong infrastructure for the country.
