Assam Boosts Medical Education with New Dental Colleges

Guwahati : Assam is expanding its medical education horizons as the Dental Council of India has recognized two dental colleges in the state. This development, confirmed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, is a significant step toward making Assam a hub for medical education.

In his announcement, CM Sarma shared, “Happy to inform that the Dental Council of India has accorded due recognition to two more dental colleges in Assam.”

“With three functional dental colleges and another one in the pipeline, Assam is on its way to become a hub of medical education in the country,” he added.

The newly recognized dental colleges are Government Dental College, Silchar, and Government Dental College, Dibrugarh. This expansion promises better opportunities for aspiring medical professionals in Assam.
